Microsoft Teams: How to stop Teams from starting automatically

  1. Open the Teams program, and sign in if prompted
  2. Click Teams on the left side menu
  3. Find the "More Options" button . You may find this button:
    1. In the top-right corner, next to the "Join or Create team" button
    2. In the bottom-left corner, next to the "Join or Create team" link
  4. Click the "More Options" button, then click Switch View
  5. Find the option for Auto-start application, and un-check it
  6. Click the "X" to close the settings dialog box
  7. Teams will now no longer automatically start when your computer starts
