Minimized Ribbon

The ribbon bar can get minimized with the Arrow up and restored with the arrow-down buttons on the bottom right corner of the ribbon.

 

 

Mailbox View

If you find yourself in a situation where your Outlook looks like the message preview place looks squished and you want to change it back to normal:

 

Check this setting:

Click View Settings:

Choose “other settings”

 

Confirm the settings look like this and the “Use compact layout in widths smaller than 125 characters” is checked:

Or just set it to Always use Compact Layout:

 

And then the other two things to make sure are set correctly are:

Under the View options:

  • Message Preview 1 line (or two or three if you prefer)

  • Reading Pane: Right
